Online Skin Consultations for Sydney

Living in Sydney can make attending regular appointments difficult. Traffic, distance, parking and busy schedules can all make it harder to prioritise your health.

An online skin consultation allows you to speak with Di from the comfort of your own home.

Your consultation can include a detailed discussion of your skin condition and symptoms, previous diagnoses and treatments, nutrition and dietary patterns, digestive and gut health, stress and nervous system factors, sleep, hormonal and lifestyle factors, medications and supplements, potential environmental and lifestyle triggers, and your individual health goals.

Where appropriate, photographs of your skin can also help provide a clearer picture of your current symptoms and changes over time.

The aim is to understand your individual situation and identify the factors that may be contributing to your skin health, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Skin Conditions Supported Through Online Consultations

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that can affect much more than the skin itself. Di takes a whole-person approach to psoriasis, considering nutrition, digestive health, immune function, stress, lifestyle and other individual factors alongside your existing medical care.

Eczema

Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, can cause persistent dryness, itching, inflammation and discomfort. A personalised consultation looks at your individual history and potential contributing factors, including nutrition, gut health, lifestyle, stress and environmental influences.

Acne

Acne can continue beyond the teenage years and may be influenced by a combination of skin, hormonal, nutritional, digestive and lifestyle factors. Your consultation provides an opportunity to look at these factors together and develop an individualised approach to your skin health.

Rosacea

Rosacea can involve persistent redness, flushing, sensitivity, inflammation and skin discomfort. Di considers your individual symptoms and history, including potential dietary, digestive, lifestyle and environmental factors that may be relevant to your skin.

Other Chronic Skin Concerns

Online consultations may also be appropriate for people experiencing concerns such as:

  • Chronic itching

  • Sensitive or reactive skin

  • Seborrhoeic dermatitis

  • Persistent skin inflammation

  • Gut-related skin concerns

  • Recurring skin flare-ups

If you're unsure whether an online consultation is suitable for your skin concern, please contact Di through the website contact form or by phone before booking.

Why Choose an Online Skin Consultation?

No need to travel across Sydney

You don't need to spend time travelling through Sydney or organising parking for your consultation. Your appointment can take place from home or another private location that suits you.

Personalised rather than one-size-fits-all

Everyone's skin and health history is different. Your consultation considers your individual symptoms, history, lifestyle, nutrition and goals rather than applying the same recommendations to everyone.

Your skin can be discussed using photographs

Clear photographs can provide useful information about your skin and can be used alongside your detailed health history and consultation. They can also be useful for monitoring changes over time.

Convenient ongoing support

Online consultations make it easier to maintain continuity of care, particularly when you live some distance from the Central Coast or have a busy schedule.

Nutrition

Nutrition can play an important role in skin health. We can look at your overall dietary patterns, food choices, nutrient intake and any individual factors that may be relevant to your symptoms.

Your skin is influenced by more than what is happening on the surface. During your consultation, we consider the broader factors that may be relevant to your individual skin health and overall wellbeing.

A Whole-Person Approach to Skin Health

Whole-person approach to skin health

Gut and digestive health

Gut and digestive health can be relevant when considering chronic skin concerns. We may discuss digestive symptoms, bowel habits, food sensitivities and other gut-related factors as part of your overall health history.

Immune function

We can discuss your health history, symptoms and individual circumstances, including factors that may be relevant to your overall health and skin concerns.

Stress and the nervous system

Stress and nervous system factors may influence how the body responds to ongoing skin concerns. We can discuss stress levels, emotional wellbeing, nervous system regulation and the ways these may relate to your individual symptoms and overall health.

Sleep

Sleep is an important part of overall health and can be relevant to ongoing skin concerns. We can discuss your sleep quality, sleep patterns and whether itching, discomfort or other symptoms are affecting your ability to rest and recover.

Hormonal factors

Hormonal changes can be relevant to skin health for some people. We can discuss your hormonal history, life stage, menstrual or reproductive health where relevant, and any changes in your skin symptoms that may coincide with hormonal fluctuations.

Lifestyle and environment

Lifestyle and environmental factors can also be relevant to skin health. We may discuss daily routines, physical activity, skincare products, environmental exposures and other factors that could be contributing to your individual skin concerns.

Looking for a Natural Approach to Skin Health?

If you're looking for a more natural, personalised approach to managing your skin health, an online consultation provides an opportunity to explore your individual symptoms, health history, nutrition, lifestyle and other factors that may be relevant to your skin.

  • Nutrition and dietary patterns

  • Gut and digestive health

  • Stress and nervous system factors

  • Sleep and lifestyle

  • Hormonal factors where relevant

  • Environmental and lifestyle influences

  • Your individual skin health goals

This approach is designed to help you better understand your skin and the wider factors that may be relevant to your health, while developing practical, personalised strategies to support your skin health.
